The AAO circulation filtering system is used with AAO membranes for nanoparticle separation and filtering, on a new concept of ‘Filtering in circulation’.
•Special design with “Circulating & Filtering” function for clogging-free filtering.
•Individual speed control of circulation and filtering on demand: fast concentrating nanoparticles, or unattended slow filtering.
•Gasket & support to ensure the safety of AAO membranes during assembly and filtering.
•Achieving almost 100% retention rate with our high-performance AAO membranes.
Principle The as-filtered solution circulates in the circulation chamber, powered by a peristaltic pump. Inner pressure of the chamber increases by constraining the outgoing flow. When the pressure can overcome the resistance from the AAO channels, the solution flows through AAO holes whereby circulation and filtering occur at the same time.
Separation Nanoparticles smaller than AAO holes pass through the AAO membrane as the solvent (i.e. H2O) flow through the AAO filter. The remaining smaller particle and all the particles bigger than AAO holes will arrive at the outlet and join the next circulation.
Concentration As the solvent continues flowing through AAO membranes, the volume of circulating solvent gradually decrease. As a result, the concentration of the nanoparticles bigger than AAO holes will gradually increase.
