2015 China EU Symposium on membrane technology research and application was successfully completed.

From October 19 to 21, 2015, "China-EU Symposium on Membrane Technology Research and Application 2015" was held at Baohai Hotel, Weihai City, Shandong Province. The conference was jointly sponsored by the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the Shandong Science and Technology Department, the Weihai Municipal People's Government, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the European Membrane Society, the Research Center of Membrane Technology of the Italian National Academy of Sciences, and the China Membrane Industry Association. The Weihai science and Technology Bureau, Harbin Institute of Technology and the editorial department of membrane science and technology jointly undertake. A total of 183 scientists, technicians, engineers and managers of membrane science and technology from China and 12 famous experts from Italy, France, Portugal, Russia, Denmark, Czech Republic and Korea attended the meeting.


Xu Lianxin, Vice Mayor of Weihai Municipal People's Government, Wang Jiwen, Secretary-General of China Membrane Industry Association, Enrique Derioli, Honorary Chairman of European Membrane Society, Lydia Jono, Director of Membrane Technology Research Center of National Research Council of Italy, and Xu Xiaofei, Vice-President of Harbin University of Technology, addressed the opening ceremony.


During the conference, the launching ceremony of the China Europe Membrane Technology Research Institute was also carried out.


The meeting invited Enrique Derioli, Honorary Chairman of the European Membrane Society, Lydia Jono, Director of the Membrane Technology Research Center of the Italian National Research Council, Professor Joan Crespo of the University of Lisbon, Portugal, Professor Anthony Smazk of the First University of Rennes, France, and Elena Tor of the University of Calabria, Italy. Dr. ZZ, Dr. Albert Fegli, Dr. Erik Volkov, Russian A.V. Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis, Dr. Alfred Gossano, University of Calabria, Italy, Dr. Hayle Barberius, French Institute of European Membrane Technology, and Frank Ripinizkbo, Denmark Alvara Company Dr. Lubos Nowak, Czech MEGA a.s., Dr. Kim Jong-un, Hanyang University, Korea, Professor Ma Jun, Harbin University of Technology, Professor Zhang Lin, Zhejiang University, Professor Ho Benqiao, Tianjin University of Technology, Mr. Gu Shirong, Suzhou Purified Co., Ltd., and Ye Qi, Kubotian Environmental Protection Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. A total of 17 people made a brilliant report to the general assembly, which is rich in content and novel. During the meeting, special exchanges between Chinese participants and foreign experts were also arranged. The editorial department of membrane science and technology edited 62 million word conference papers.


The meeting was strongly supported by Suzhou Purify Purification Co., Ltd. The meeting was successfully held and achieved the desired results.
